The introduction of Electronic Design and Solution Fair 2013 (EDSFair2013)
■ Activities
JEITA organizes EDSFair. EDA-TC as a committee in JEITA organizes EDSFair Executive Committee, sends the chairman and key members to it. EDSFair is a major technology exhibition of LSI designs, test technologies, and EDA technologies. EDSFair provides engineers the opportunities to find the latest design solutions, technologies, and the EDA technologies. Also, EDSFair gives the participants the chances of communications. The objective of organizing EDSFair is to contribute growth of the domestic semiconductor industry and the electronics industry.
EDSFair Executive Committee defines the direction and the target of EDSFair. Also, the committee makes plans of the special exhibition and the events based on the direction.

We started to hold EDSFair at the same time with ET three years ago. During this time, co-designs and co-verification of hardware and software are getting more and more important.
"Global optimization" is considered to be the key of designs. Not only the optimization inside LSI chips, but also the global optimization of the entire system including packages, printed circuit boards, equipment, and software has become important. Along with this change, a new challenge has sought to every designer. Development of new technology area, a review of the techniques of modeling and optimization, training of engineers who have new skills. EDSFair2013 supports the challenge of designers and provides the planning and exhibition that lead to bright future.
Taking account of these situations, we defined the following catchphrase:
"Open the door! to the future"

We are planning special exhibition and events which attract attendees:
- Special theme zone,
- Emerging company area,
- Emerging company guided tour,
- EDSFair-ET special collaborating session,
- Special stage.
Members of EDA-TC are planning the contents of the special stage.
We expect that EDSFair contributes to progress in the design technologies in the electronics industry and gives attendees the opportunities of communication and business.
